At the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) later this year, Jo Swinhoe of Alzheimer's Society is co-presenting the session "The competitive edge- developing a high achieving fundraising culture."
A professional fundraiser for 15 years, Jo has been Director of Fundraising and Marketing with the Alzheimer's Society since 2005, having previously been with the NSPCC and charities local to Sheffield where she lives. The session summary says "Increasingly the focus in fundraising is less on technical skills and more on how to create a culture that is consistently and systematically high achieving. To do this involves developing a cluster of organisational abilities - being innovative, working in an integrated way, and obsessively meeting donor interests. It also involves significant leadership skills from senior fundraising managers. This combination of approaches becomes a key competitive fundraising advantage"
