Chelsea Physic Garden, London's oldest botanic garden, has just selected ProgressCRM as its new fundraising and membership database.
"Using Progress will enable us to radically improve our fundraising and business processes" said project manager Neil Couzens. "In 2007 we started opening our 'secret garden' to the public more often, with a resultant major increase in the number of new members and other stakeholders so we needed a new database system to allow us to meet our increasingly complex needs".
Why 'physic'? The Garden was founded by the Society of Apothecaries in 1673 in order to promote the study of botany in relation to medicine, then known as the 'physic' or healing arts.
