Light Up A Life- LUAL
Run by and for the UK's 220 local hospices, Light up a Life is a way of remembering loved ones at Christmas by dedicating a Christmas tree light to them. Many of those being remembered will have been cared for by local adult and children's hospices throughout the UK. Local Hospices invite people to dedicate a light in celebration of their friends or relatives, whilst making a 'tribute' donation that supports their vital work. Local events and the lighting of trees are held in hospices, churches, cathedrals, schools, at local companies, shopping and garden centres, and even train stations. A book of remembrance is usually produced and bereavement counsellors on-hand to give support.
A vital part of the fundraising efforts, the LUAL campaign must be made to run as efficiently as possible with ease of data entry into the main Contact Database.
